A government-owned private company, which is involved in hardware, software and advisory projects for the Turkish defense organizations, like the Turkish Army (Land, Sea and Air Forces), Ministry of Defense and the Turkish Aeronautics Inc. Started working as the systems administrator of the company, responsible for the company’s computer and network communications resources. Later on worked as a project manager for defense industry related projects. Various projects whose budgets up to 20million USD has been managed and successfully finished including information security and computer networking projects of the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (National Defense Ministry). 1998 – 1988: Ortadogu Rulman Sanayi ve Tic. A.Ş., Ankara, Turkiye. The biggest anti-friction deep grove ball bearing manufacturer in the Middle East Region with yearly sales volume of more than 200million USD (app. 2500 employees). Worked as the managers of Computer Data Processing Department and Electronics Maintenance Departments. Established the multi-user computer system of the company with network capabilities to the other out-of-city and out-of-country branches. Various IT projects have been accomplished including the computerization of Accounting Department, Engineering Department and the Production Planning Department with various in-house developed and/or outsourced software systems. Invented two different software controlled production machines and successfully put them into daily production. 1988 – 1987: ALCATEL Austria Gesellschaft M.b.H, Vienna, Austria Worked as a telecommunications high-level design engineer for software controlled digital telephone exchanges that was produced and sold internationally. 1987 – 1983: ITT Telecom Products Corporation, Raleigh, NC, USA Started working as a software test engineer in the Department of Systems Testing. Awarded as the best “top 5%” engineer. Later on transferred to the Department of Master Integration and Testing and worked as a shift leader in trouble shooting and debugging the operating system (Kernel 3.1.X) of System 1240 (a distributed, computer controlled telecommunications equipment). 1983 – 1981: ITT North Electric Co., Cape Kennedy, FL, USA. Worked as a software test engineer in the Telecommunications and Switching Division. Work consisted of testing, verifying and patching the new software revisions of the NX-1E software controlled crossbar switches. 1981 – 1980: Turkish Electricity Authority, Ministry of Natural Resources, Ankara, Turkiye Worked as a computer programmer in the Data Processing Department. 1979 – 1977: Part-time work as an accountant in a small company (Gerim Ticaret Ltd.
