For more information on the Intensive English program at St. Cloud State: www.stcloudstate.edu/iec www.studyusa.com PROGRAMIMIZ HAKKINDA: ENSTITÜ VE YERI: St. Cloud State University’deki (SCSU) Yoğun İngilizce Merkezi (IEC), 1997 yılında kuruldu. Akademik amaçlı İngilizce dil becerilerini ilerletmek isteyen uluslararası öğrenciler Amerikan kültür ve geleneklerini öğrenirken kaliteli bir İngilizce dil eğitimi de alırlar. IEC, başlangıçtan ileri düzeye 6 düzeyde İngilizce dil eğitimi sunar. Öğrenciler, haftada 21-23 saat İngilizce dil eğitimi görürler. IEC, akademik başarıya veya mesleki ilerlemeye temel olabilecek okuma, yazma, konuşma ve gramer gibi temel dil becerilerinin geliştirilmesini vurgular. Ayrıca, IEC edebiyat, konuşma, telaffuz, sunum yapma, bilgisayar teknolojileri ve Amerikan kültürü alanlarında dersler de sunar. Dersler, TESL’de mesleki eğitim almış eğitmenlerce verilir. 1869 yılında kurulan Saint Cloud State University, 16.000’den fazla öğrenciye ekonomik eğitim ücretleriyle 150’yi aşkın program sunar. Kültürel programlar, sosyal aktiviteler ve SCSU profesörlerinin misafir eğitmen olarak derslere girmesi öğrencilerin ABD tarihi, kültürü ve akademik hayata dair daha büyük bir anlayış kazanmalarını sağlar. Sınıf mevcutları, 6’dan 15’e kadar değişmekte olup öğrencilere kişiye özel ilgi sağlamak için her türlü çaba harcanmaktadır. Nitelikli IEC mezunları, SCSU’daki lisans veya lisansüstü programlara başvurabilirler. IEC programını başarı ile bitirilmesi, TOEFL, IELTS veya PET dil yeterlilik koşullarının yerine geçer. Instruction, skills-practice, discussions and presentations would include pronunciation, spoken grammar, listening comprehension, conversation and practical writing.
