Course Information CATALOG DESCRIPTION: CHEM 101 General Chemistry I 6 0 6 Atoms, molecules and ions; stoichiometry; reactions in aqueous solution; gases; energy in chemical reactions; electronic structure of atoms; periodic table; chemical bonds; organic chemistry ;intermolecular forces; phsical phs properties of solutions; acids and bases; thermochemistry; redox reactions and electrochemistry COURSE PRECONDITIONS: There is no preconditions LEARNING OBJECTIVES: This course is designed to teach basic principles of general chemistry with applications and to relate knowledge of chemistry with daily life event. Thus, to get students to observe their environment over wider horizon.
