The company also offers DTP and voice-over services as well as localization and translation services from English, German, French and other languages into Turkish. Orient Translation Services has been entitled to receive ISO 9001:2008 certificate in May 2009, having qualified itself in accordance with the strict requirements of the ISO standard. Orient Translation Services is a member of GALA (Globalization and Localization Association). Since its establishment, Orient Translation Services has been working with growing numbers of loyal clients including its first clients. Thanks to meeting client expectations, Orient Translation Services has increased its working capacity and now provides services to over 40 multi-language vendors (MLVs). Besides multi-language vendors, Orient Translation Services also provides services for local companies that are exporting products across foreign markets. In order to fulfill the demands of its clients, Orient Translation Services provides a team compiled of translators, proofreaders and DTP experts who strive to ensure consistency and preserve the integrity of the original text's meaning and intent. As Orient Translation Services has already experienced, the translation and localization industry in Turkey is expected to expand along with Turkey's and the surrounding region's deeper integration into the world market. While being aware of the growing expectations and everaccelerating business flow, Orient Translation Services constantly updates and upgrades its technological infrastructure and human resources with detailed HR management procedures and innovative technology applications. STAFF Under the organization of Orient Translation Services, there are both internal and external resources, depending on the specific requirements of each project. All technical and project management tasks and most of the editing tasks are performed internally, and independent professionals are employed for outsourcing certain linguistic tasks. All translations are done by native speakers, who are experts in their field. Orient's inhouse team of 18 highly qualified professionals, composed of project managers, software engineers, linguists and DTP specialists, is to complete the projects, ensuring compliance with deadlines and each client's quality requirements. We work with over 40 previously tested independent professionals. In order to qualify as an Orient linguist, candidates must hold higher education degrees and demonstrate extensive professional experience in their subject of expertise. In addition, they must successfully pass our internal testing, which involves semantics accuracy, a perfect command of grammatical and typographical rules, stylistic elegance, and adaptation to the target audience. We offer translations for customers in different industries and meet the specific requirements of our clients. We provide services for customers in IT, electronics, automotive, health, engineering, banking and finance industries. In order to assure high quality we provide TEP (Translation, Editing, Proofreading) services. At Orient, we utilize various CAT tools and in particular SDL Trados. These CAT tools are used in the translation process in order to deliver the highest quality translations as well as consistent terminology throughout your multilingual marketing materials, product literature, technical sheets and other documentation. LOCALIZATION Localization is culturally sensitive adaptation of a hardware, software or a complete web site a product in other words- to target language in accordance with project requirements. Orient offers you a problem-free delivery of localized and tested source texts in various formats including, but not limited to printed and electronic user's guides, xml files etc. LOCALIZATION TEST Localization test is a process to ensure supervision/control of test accuracy of the localized product. Orient applies a test to verify the localized product, or to enable compatibility of the software/hardware with the media it is used in, upon customer demand. Testing process includes preparation of an error report and correction of these errors. DESKTOP PUBLISHING (DTP) The translation and localization processes often include several other important steps to produce the final document. We handle a wide variety of file formats such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel or InDesign, QuarkXPress, FrameMaker, SGML, HTML, XML, etc . We solve layout-related issues (text expansion, graphical content etc.) to create a document that is ready to print. Below, the steps have been designed to provide our clients with value-added service. Following steps may vary according to scope and the requirements of a project. QUALITY ASSURANCE At Orient Translation Services, Quality Assurance is the process of determining the quality level of the localized files and it is performed with a model that is based on LISA QA model. The objective of this process is to identify if the localized files have met client's and internal standards and most importantly to monitor competences of the localization team. VISUAL QUALITY ASSURANCE In order to assure that the target reflects the quality of the source materials, it is important to verify linguistic quality and the integrity of the localized content.
