EDUCATION University of Washington, Seattle, 1987 BA in Business Administration/Marketing ETCETERA Growing up amongst eight brothers and eight sisters – 17 of us in total – I learned from an early age how to get attention and use persuasion. Later I learned that’s called advertising. I spent countless hours of my youth glued to the TV, which I watched mostly for the ads, and soon realized what I wanted to do. Working nights in the advertising department of my university newspaper, I pursued double espressos and a degree in marketing. At the time, Asia was fast becoming the place to be (it still is), so right after graduation I headed East. Since then I’ve created and led successful through-the-line campaigns for all kinds of brands and categories. I love doing everything from TV to direct to shopper marketing to social to mobile to everything-all-together. Aside from work, I love scuba diving, trail running, movies, graphic novels, audiobooks, writing, life drawing, sign language and visual arts. And I still count my 16 brothers and sisters amongst my closest friends. References available on request. 2
