Ne kadar çok havalimanı, ne kadar çok ulaşım ağı olur, ne kadar rahat ulaşım sağlanırsa pazar payımız o kadar artar. We must sprint! Gülçin Güner: Time is of great importance for the tourists. The more we build airports and a more comfortable transport net, the more we increase our market share. Alanya’da 1950’lerde ev pansiyonculuğuyla başlayan turizm, 60 yılda marka haline geldi. Turizmin başkenti Antalya’nın en önemli markalarından biri olan Alanya’yı, Alanya Turistik İşletmeciler Derneği (ALTİD) Başkanı Gülçin Güner ile konuştuk. Güner, 1970’li yıllarda belediye anonslarıyla evlerini misafirlere açan Alanyalıları, turizm teşvikleriyle bölgenin çehresini değiştiren büyük yatırımları ve son 16 yıldır bölgenin en önemli konusu olan Gazipaşa Havalimanı’nı Antalya Kültür ve Turizm Dergisi’ne anlattı. Öncelikle Alanya’da turizm faaliyetlerinin nasıl başladığını anlatır mısınız? Türkiye’nin ilk turizm yörelerinden biri olan Alanya’da 66 ANTALYA Nisan - Mayıs / April - May 2011 turizm, ev pansiyonculuğu ile başladı. Ben Alanyalıyım. 70’li yılları çok iyi hatırlarım. Belediyeden yapılan “Evlerinizi misafirlerinize açın!” anonsları hala kulağımda çınlar. Yazın yaylaya göç eden Alanyalılar, evlerini gelen tatilcilere açarak turizmin temellerini attılar. Turizmin gelişmesi nasıl bir süreç izledi? Alanya’da 70’li yılların ikinci yarısında organize turlar başladı. Pamfilya Turizm bölgedeki ilk ofisini Alanya’da açtı. Ev pansiyonculuğu yerini profesyonel ticari pansiyonculuğa bıraktı. İskele caddesinde hediyelik eşya satan dükkanlar açılmaya başladı. Bini geçmeyen yatağa sahip kıyı ilçesi Alanya, o yıllarda yerli turistlerin moda tatil yeri haline geldi. 80’lerin ikinci Tourism was initiated in Alanya as boarding in private homes in the 1950s and became a brand mark in 60 years. We interviewed Gülçin Güner, the president of the Alanya Touristic Hoteliers Associations (ALTID) about Alanya, one of the most prominent brand marks of Antalya, capital of tourism. In the course of the conversation with the Antalya Tourism and Culture Magazine, Güner talked about the announcements of the municipality over loudspeakers to the people of Alanya to open their homes to visitors in the 1970s, investments with tourism incentives that changed the visage of the region and Gazipaşa Airport which has been the most important subject in the region since 16 years. Could you tell us first how touristic activities began in Alanya? Tourism in Alanya, as one of the first touristic regions in Turkey, began with private home boarding. I am from Alanya. I remember the 70s very well. The announcements of the municipality over loudspeakers ‘’open your houses to visitors’’ ring still in my ears. The people of Alanya who moved to plateaus in the summer laid the foundations of tourism by opening their homes to visitors. How has been the development process of tourism? Organised tours were initiated in Alanya in the second half of the 70s. Pamfilya Tourism opened its first office in Alanya. Private home boarding was replaced by the commercial professional accommodations. Souvenir shops began to emerge on the İskele Street. Alanya became a popular holiday destination for domestic tourists in those years with a capacity of less than 1000 beds. The region underwent a transformation after second half of 80s thanks to the increase of tourism incentives. How has been the transformation process experienced?
